## Description

The Centre Hospitalier Emile Mayrisch (CHEM) is a hospital organization serving communities through sites in Esch-sur-Alzette, Dudelange and Niederkorn. Its stated aim is to be an innovative hospital close to citizens. CHEM provides emergency care, inpatient hospitalisation, outpatient services and maternity care, alongside a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. These include cardiology, oncology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, neurology, internal medicine, gynaecology, radiology and rehabilitation. Support services include medical imaging, laboratory medicine and pharmacy.

Patients and visitors can find information about admissions, visits, tariffs, quality, hygiene and patient relations. The hospital also undertakes medical research and teaching, shares information about current research projects, and offers jobs and placements. CHEM provides imaging appointments, including mammography and bone density examinations; the latter are available at Niederkorn by appointment with a medical prescription. Expanded mammography hours are intended to enable appointments within one week. The free myCHEM app supports imaging bookings. Through its clinical services, information resources and patient-oriented facilities, CHEM combines healthcare delivery with education and innovation.
