## Description

ChemCollective is an online chemistry education initiative that provides resources for teaching and learning at the high school and college levels. Organized by Dr. David Yaron of Carnegie Mellon University and Dr. Ryan Dwyer of the University of Mount Union, it brings together virtual labs, scenario-based activities, tutorials, concept tests, simulations, and other learning materials. Its resources cover topics ranging from stoichiometry, thermochemistry, and kinetics to equilibrium, acid-base chemistry, electrochemistry, and analytical techniques.

The virtual labs recreate experiments used in general chemistry courses, allowing students to carry out calculations and check their understanding with tools such as pH meters and concentration tables. Teachers can use the materials for pre-lab preparation, homework alternatives, or individual and team classroom activities. ChemCollective also provides OLI Chemistry courses in General Chemistry I and II, featuring instructional text, worked examples, scaffolded practice with adaptive feedback, and assessments. The site describes RealChem as the successor to OLI Chemistry, with modules that combine text, videos, examples, practice, environmental explorations, and assessments.
