Young, took over leadership in 1993, expanding their services to more areas. Cherokee Communications has been an innovator in technology, introducing touchtone systems, caller ID, and call waiting to rural communities. They were also the first in the area to offer IPTV in 2009 and fiber-to-the-home Internet in 2014, providing lightning-fast connections.
