Welcome to Cherryland Humane Society, located in Traverse City, MI! At Cherryland Humane Society, our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment for animals while working towards finding them responsible, permanent homes. We prioritize the well-being of each animal, considering their physical, emotional, behavioral, and social needs from their own unique perspective. In addition to finding homes for animals in need, we also offer a range of services to support our community.

Our training programs and resources help pet owners make informed adoption choices and address any issues they may be facing with their current companion animals. By fostering greater awareness and collaboration within the community, we strive to tackle the root causes of companion animal homelessness, neglect, cruelty, and violence. Led by our dedicated Executive Director, Heidi Yates, who brings over 22 years of experience in animal welfare, our team is committed to making a positive impact.
