## Description

Cheryl A. Arko is a science fiction author whose work explores imagined worlds, first contact, and the connections that can bridge profound differences. Alongside her writing career, she is an accomplished senior data scientist with extensive experience in IT and medical data analysis, and a seasoned dog trainer. Her debut novel, Touch of the Elegrian, opens The Elegrian Legacy series with a high-stakes story of prejudice, legacy, and redemption. The book follows Erys, a telepathic Elegrian working for an Earth-led alliance, as he confronts sabotage, interspecies mistrust, and a dangerous choice that could threaten a fragile treaty. A Killer Nashville Claymore Award finalist for best Science Fiction/Fantasy, the novel reflects Arko’s interest in character-driven adventures and the question of what people share as well as what sets them apart. Her stories invite readers to journey to new worlds and consider the possibility of good amid darkness. Arko lives in Minnesota with her beloved Airedales, surrounded by pine trees. Her books are available through the website.
