## Description

Chicago Riot Rugby is a social athletic club founded in 2007 by a group of former University of Illinois at Chicago Rugby players. With a strong emphasis on the social aspects of the sport, this club also provides a competitive atmosphere for rugby enthusiasts to showcase their skills on the pitch. Accepted into CARFU for the DIII league in the Fall 2008 season, Chicago Riot Rugby has rapidly established itself as one of the top teams in the Midwest. In addition to competing in both DIII and DIV of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union, the team has achieved notable accomplishments. They were crowned the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union D3 Champions in 2022 and have consistently made impressive progress towards the National Championship in recent years. As a 503(C) Charity, Chicago Riot Rugby greatly appreciates the support and donations that aid in their daily operations and community outreach efforts. The dedicated Riot Board for 2022-2023, led by President Devin Dowling, Vice President/Captain Blair Rush, and Coach Dan Matuz, along with the rest of the team, embody the spirit of Chicago Riot Rugby.
