## Description

Chico Equestrian Association (CEA) is a community organization in Chico, California, dedicated to keeping horses in Bidwell Park and continuing the vision of Annie Bidwell. The association supports local equestrians while offering education to its members and the wider community. Its activities include regular monthly meetings, where members can discuss community topics and learn about services such as Enloe Life Flight and AirMedCare Network coverage. Meetings may also include potluck gatherings, creating opportunities for members to connect.

CEA offers annual memberships and provides an application for people who wish to join or renew. The organization also administers the Mike Mathis Scholarship, which is open to students enrolled in an agriculture program; requirements and an application are available through its website. Members can find photos, member advertisements, association history, and contact information online. The site also shares practical Bidwell Park information, including phone numbers for checking trail conditions and Arena Way gate access. Through these resources and activities, CEA brings together equestrians and supports education and horse access in the community.
