Description
Child & Family Service (CFS) is a Hawaii-born, impact-driven, community-based organization that has been serving the community for over 124 years. Our mission is to strengthen families and foster the healthy development of children. We offer a wide range of programs and services, including preschool education, prevention of child abuse and neglect, programs for at-risk youth, domestic violence emergency services, therapeutic counseling, employment assistance, and programs for elder care, among others.
Using our core values of HOPE (Humility, Ownership, Perseverance, & Engagement), we work with families to help them achieve their dreams, including financial independence, planning for a thriving future, and caring for all generations of their 'ohana (family). Within the past fiscal year alone, we provided direct services to 14,991 individuals and touched the lives of an additional 75,000 through phone calls, referrals, educational presentations, and walk-in family centers. As a private nonprofit organization, the majority of our funding comes from state and federal contracts.
However, we also rely on contributions from the community to support program enhancements and fill gaps left by government contracts. Donor contributions are crucial in allowing us to continue providing uninterrupted services and innovative programs. Whether you're in need of assistance or looking to get involved as a volunteer, we welcome you to connect with us through our walk-in Family Centers or reach out to our offices statewide.
At CFS, we are committed to strengthening families and building strong, multi-cultural communities across generations. Join us in making a positive impact in Hawaii's communities
