## Description

Abdulrahman Oasis – Child Life Association is a Saudi nonprofit established in 2022 in memory of Abdulrahman bin Fahd bin Thunayan Al-Thunayan. Inspired by his generosity and compassion, his parents founded the association to support children facing illness and their families. Its central goal is to help introduce and develop the Child Life specialty in Saudi hospitals, making children’s medical experiences more hopeful and less stressful.

Child Life specialists use age-appropriate explanations, preparation, play, and emotional support to help children cope with medical procedures and treatment. The association promotes this specialized care through hospital programs, professional education, partnerships with universities and healthcare organizations, and public awareness activities. Its work also includes initiatives for hospitalized children and gatherings for families in the healthcare community. Through donations, membership, volunteering, and collaboration, supporters can contribute to its mission. Abdulrahman Oasis brings together compassionate care and professional expertise to address the emotional and psychological needs of young patients alongside their medical treatment, while working to build broader recognition of Child Life within the country’s healthcare system.
