## Description

Childlight is a world-leading independent data institute that aims to shed light on the prevalence and nature of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) globally. Their vision is to create a world where CSEA data accelerates action and paves the way for the protection and safety of all children. Childlight's mission includes gathering and visualizing this data through a Global Index and dashboard, as well as creating platforms that make this information accessible to inform policy and drive coordinated action for safeguarding children worldwide. They strive to be recognized as the foremost authority on CSEA knowledge and a catalyst for enduring change. With a commitment to openness, transparency, and inclusivity, Childlight expects all its staff and researchers to adhere to its core organizational and research values. These values include acting with integrity, treating individuals fairly and with respect, reporting data without bias, and prioritizing the welfare of children. Hosted by the Child Safety Institute at the University of Edinburgh, Childlight is located in Edinburgh, UK. They also provide support for those affected by exploitation or abuse through Child Helpline International.
