## Description

LETIN UNIPD is the Children’s Literature Research Group at the University of Padua’s Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education and Applied Psychology. This interdisciplinary group investigates children’s and young adult literature, connecting academic research with education and cultural practice. Its fields include literary history and theory, picturebooks and visual narratives, reading and literacy, environmental humanities, identity, gender and social representation, and the relationships between texts, images, materiality, space and imagination.

LETIN shares its work through research projects, publications, conferences, teaching initiatives and public engagement with schools, libraries and communities. Its BIBI programme uses biographies and biofictions for young readers to promote gender awareness. The group also develops international work on ecocritical literacy, sustainability, inclusion and dialogue through projects such as Green Dialogues. For educators and other learners, LETIN offers advanced post-graduate training in children’s and adolescent literature, reading pedagogy, visual literacy and environmental humanities. Through these activities, the group supports thoughtful engagement with literature and its educational and social significance.
