## Description

ChildRescue is a pioneering EU-funded initiative focused on enhancing the investigation and rescue processes for missing children, particularly unaccompanied minors. With over 250,000 cases of missing children reported annually in Europe, ChildRescue aims to minimize the critical period between reporting a child as missing and their recovery. The platform employs advanced technologies and a collective intelligence approach to improve the accuracy and timeliness of information dissemination.

Key features of ChildRescue include the development of a mobile app that leverages geofencing technology, allowing citizens and volunteers to act as "investigation social sensors." This facilitates real-time alerts to users in the vicinity of missing persons. Additionally, the project's methodology integrates psychological profiling and social network analysis to construct comprehensive profiles of missing children, aiding in their identification. Through transparent data sharing and coordination among response teams, ChildRescue endeavors to reunite children with their families while establishing a secure, privacy-conscious framework for handling investigations.
