About

Description

Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest (CSNW) is a unique sanctuary located on 110 acres of beautiful farm and forested land in the Cascade mountains, 90 miles east of Seattle. Our sanctuary is dedicated to providing a safe and loving home for chimpanzees that have been discarded from the entertainment and biomedical testing industries. Founded in 2003, CSNW is one of the few sanctuaries in the country that specializes in caring for chimpanzees.

We have successfully rescued and rehabilitated these incredible creatures, giving them a second chance at life. Our residents, which include Annie, Burrito, Foxie, Jamie, Jody, Missy, Negra, Honey B, Mave, Willy B, Cy, Dora, Gordo, Lucky, Rayne, and Terry, have all endured challenging pasts but now bask in the joy and freedom of our sanctuary. In addition to our chimpanzee residents, we also care for three rescued cows and a steer, who happily provide grazing services.

At CSNW, we believe in providing a stimulating environment where the chimpanzees can thrive. Through our blog, we share their daily adventures, transformations, and experiences. By donating or becoming a Chimpanzee Pal sponsor, you can contribute to the well-being and care of our incredible residents.

Join us in our mission to create a sanctuary of hope, love, and home for these amazing creatures
