Philadelphia Chinatown Development Corporation (PCDC) is a grassroots, non-profit organization that aims to preserve, protect, and promote Chinatown as a vibrant ethnic, residential, and business community. With a strong focus on urban renewal and affordable housing development, PCDC has been serving the needs of the 37,000 Chinese Americans in Philadelphia since its establishment in 1966. As the only institution in Chinatown dedicated to these needs, PCDC provides a comprehensive range of bilingual (English and Chinese) services to over 3,000 clients annually.

These services address language and cultural barriers, offering support in areas such as affordable housing, social services, economic revitalization, and neighborhood planning. PCDC's programs and projects are divided into five main categories: Neighborhood planning, community organizing and advocacy, the Chinatown Homeownership Initiative, economic revitalization, and family and youth services. By offering a diverse array of programs in these areas, PCDC ensures that the low-income immigrant community in Chinatown has access to the resources and support needed for their well-being and success
