## Description

Duplessis Art is the creative practice of Chloé Duplessis, an artist, historian, and speaker whose work explores memory, accessibility, and material culture. Legally blind, Duplessis centers touch, sound, storytelling, and embodied experience in her visual art, archival research, and historical interpretation. Her practice considers how disability, perception, and power influence historical records and public memory, with particular attention to overlooked histories and Black culture.

Duplessis creates exhibitions and public art, including the 12 Tablecloths installation and Denver’s first visually accessible “I VOTED” sticker. Her projects also include the Shared History Mural and work presented in communities such as Leadville, Fort Garland, and Trinidad. In 2024, she was selected to lead the Colorado Black Equity Study, a two-year historical research program documenting policies and practices that have harmed Black Coloradans. She also offers public speaking and educational programming on accessibility, history, and culture. With Athena Project as its fiscal sponsor, Duplessis Art welcomes support for future exhibitions, community engagement, and accessible storytelling experiences.
