## Description

Choriner Straßenfest is a community-led neighborhood festival in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg, organized by local residents for the people who live in and visit the area. First held in 1995, the event has become a longstanding gathering on Choriner Straße, celebrating local connection and the character of the neighborhood. The 27th festival is scheduled for May 30, 2026, following a cancellation in 2025, and will bring the street between Oderberger and Schwedter streets to life from 1 p.m.

The program combines entertainment and activities for different ages and interests. Visitors can enjoy live music, performances, a neighborhood flea market, and a children’s program. The 2026 event also opens with a Tai Chi demonstration and participatory neighborhood training, while traditional decorative pennant strings are renewed as a symbol of community ties. The organizers share festival news and historical information, invite residents to get involved, and provide ways to support the event through donations. Choriner Straßenfest is a locally organized celebration built around music, shared activities, and neighborhood spirit.
