The Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of community health services across the country. Established in 1992, the board was formed to regulate the practice of Community Health by overseeing the training and licensing of health practitioners including Community Health Officers and Community Health Extension Workers. With over 161 accredited health institutions and 16 university teaching hospitals, CHPRBN has successfully trained over 200,000 practitioners who serve in underserved rural communities through Basic Health Clinics and Primary Health Centers.
