## Description

Chautauqua Striders is a youth-focused organization serving Chautauqua County, New York, with programs designed to help young people flourish academically, socially, and physically. Founded as a track club in 1979, it continues to offer athletic opportunities while providing a broader range of support for local youth and families. Its academic services include in-person and online tutoring for students in grades K–12, along with enrichment activities and workshops. Tutoring is available across North and South County, and the organization also hires tutors to support students. Through its evidence-based mentoring program, volunteer mentors build supportive relationships with young people. Social-emotional learning facilitators lead weekly small-group sessions that help participants develop skills for a positive school experience. Athletics programming offers youth track and field development, while races and other events create opportunities for runners of different ages. Chautauqua Striders also participates in a North County collaborative initiative focused on students’ academic performance and well-being.
