The Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM) is a leading pediatric research facility dedicated to improving the health of children and youth. As the research division of the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, CHRIM brings together over 300 world-class medical researchers, staff, and students who conduct nearly $20 million worth of research and clinical trials each year. With a collaborative and innovative environment, CHRIM focuses on a wide range of disciplines to address the overall picture of pediatric health.

Key areas of study include diabetes, respiratory challenges, developmental origins of health and disease, vaccines for infectious diseases, nutrition and metabolism, obesity and physical activity, kidney disease, genetics, neurosciences, pharmacology, autism, emergency medicine, oral health, and youth mental health. CHRIM is supported by the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, which funds research projects and provides administrative and infrastructure support. With the resources and opportunities provided, CHRIM investigators have better success in securing external funding.
