## Description

The Christa Wolf Society is an organization dedicated to the life and work of German writer Christa Wolf and to the literary and cultural projects associated with her legacy. Its website provides information about Christa Wolf’s biography, books, media, archive, public reception and research, as well as resources including a selected bibliography, her private library and details of the research network. The Society also shares news, events, member activities and information about its board, statutes, membership and partnerships.

Its projects include an exhibition, an award, an audio walk, memorial-site information and publications. The site features quotations from Wolf’s writing and promotes opportunities to explore her work and its continuing relevance. One announced event is a literary and cultural day trip to Gorzów Wielkopolski, Poland, organized with artist Malte Hein and including a program in the city where Wolf was born. The Society is based at Humboldt University of Berlin, at the Institute for German Literature, where the Christa and Gerhard Wolf Private Library research office is located.
