## Description

Chinese in Africa/Africans in China Research Network is a unique independent platform dedicated to fostering dialogue between Africa and China. This international network serves as a hub for real-time discussions, interactive debates, and comprehensive knowledge sharing on the dynamics of Sino-African relations. It aims to bridge the cultural and geographical gap between these two regions by focusing on the experiences and interactions of Chinese individuals in Africa and Africans in China.

The network is visually represented by a logo reflecting the concept of reciprocity, central to its mission. Designed by Christian Straube, a PhD candidate from Heidelberg University, the logo incorporates elements symbolizing the connection and equality between the two regions. It highlights the necessity of studying both sides equally, with aspects representing adaptability and the rich individual histories that inform these interactions. This space not only encompasses new ideas, challenges, and opportunities arising from these encounters but also promotes a deeper understanding of the cultural exchanges taking place within this transcontinental relationship.
