## Description

Tallinn Christmas Market is a seasonal event held in the heart of Tallinn’s medieval Old Town, at Town Hall Square. Running from 20 November 2026 to 6 January 2027, it brings visitors together around the city’s celebrated Christmas tree for festive shopping, food and entertainment. Market stalls feature gifts and products from local artists and craftspeople, including candles, contemporary decorations, Estonian design, knitwear, and warm socks made from dog or alpaca wool.

Food and drink are central to the experience. Visitors can enjoy freshly baked cinnamon and cardamom buns, gingerbread, pancakes, sweets and handmade truffles, alongside traditional Estonian Christmas dishes such as sauerkraut, blood sausage and roast pork. The market also offers a wide range of mulled drinks, with alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, as well as spiced wine made to a medieval recipe. Meals are available to eat at the market or take away, and reusable dishes are offered with a refundable deposit.

Families can visit Santa, ride classic carousels and enjoy a cultural programme featuring music and folk dancing.
