Community Human Services is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing high-quality mental health, substance abuse, and homeless services to residents of Monterey County. Our mission is to help individuals reach their full potential by addressing the root causes of social problems. Established in 1969, we began as a grassroots effort to combat drug use among teenagers.

Today, our organization has grown through a strategic partnership with the Family Service Agency, enabling us to provide comprehensive, low-cost services to children, families, and adults. Our programs are focused on three primary pillars: mental health, substance abuse, and homelessness. We offer services such as mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, parenting education, supervised visitation and exchange, domestic violence and anger management counseling, and street outreach programs.

We also provide emergency shelter and supportive services for homeless women and families. With over 50 years of experience, we are proud to have continuously met emerging community needs while delivering high-quality care to those in need.
