## Description

Chubu Walkathon is a community-focused international charity festival that brings people together to support local charitable organizations and people facing hardship in Japan’s Chubu region. Its mission is to raise awareness of charitable causes, encourage volunteering, and generate donations through a fun, family-friendly outdoor event. The festival features live music and entertainment, activities for children and adults, international food stalls, community groups, and prize draws. Visitors can take part by purchasing tickets or event T-shirts, making donations, volunteering, or joining as a sponsor or food vendor. The organization also invites businesses and community groups to contribute to its fundraising and outreach efforts. Chubu Walkathon reports 34 years of support for the region and more than ¥196 million donated to local charities. In 2025, it supported 16 charitable organizations and averaged about 1,700 participants over the previous five years. The 2026 festival is scheduled for May 24 at Meijo Park in Nagoya, with proceeds directed toward charitable causes.
