## Description

The Chugach Heritage Foundation (CHF) is a nonprofit organization based in Alaska that is dedicated to promoting and preserving Chugach culture. Their primary focus is on providing educational opportunities for Chugach Alaska Corporation Original Shareholders and Lineal Descendants through scholarships. Over the years, CHF has supported more than 2,200 scholarship recipients, with over $10.6 million in scholarships funded. They offer a range of scholarship programs, including vocational scholarships and college scholarships, to support students in their pursuit of higher education. In addition to their scholarship programs, CHF also organizes cultural programs and workshops that celebrate and showcase the rich heritage of the Chugach region. These programs culminate in the annual Russian New Year celebration, a vibrant and joyous event. Another significant initiative by CHF is the Nuuciq Spirit Camp, where children and elders come together on their ancestral island to reconnect with their cultural roots. By providing educational opportunities and preserving the Chugach culture, the Chugach Heritage Foundation aims to empower their community and create a prosperous future for their people. You can support their mission by donating to their cause and investing in the next generation of Chugach leaders.
