Churches United is a prominent and rapidly expanding brand that has been serving the Fargo-Moorhead community since 1987. Initially established by eleven local faith groups, Churches United now boasts the support of over 100 faith communities. The brand operates six locations across the area, including three shelters, two food pantries, and a permanent supportive housing complex.

Over the years, Churches United has achieved significant milestones, such as the hiring of the first paid team members in 1992 and the opening of the Bright Sky Apartments in 2018. Additionally, through a merger with the Dorothy Day House & Food Pantry, the organization operates under the name Churches United, overseeing all its programs and sites. With plans for future expansion, including the Silver Linings Apartments and an enhanced Micah's Mission shelter, Churches United continues to make a substantial impact in addressing homelessness and providing essential services to those in need
