## Description

CHW Central is a global resource and online community for Community Health Workers (CHWs). The organization brings together program managers, experts, practitioners, researchers, and supporters of CHW programs. It serves as a virtual meeting place where members can share resources, experiences, and ideas related to CHW programs and policy. The vision of CHW Central is to ensure that everyone in need has access to a trained and supported community health worker. They believe that CHWs play a crucial role in achieving universal health coverage and reducing global health inequities. As the preeminent global resource on CHWs and CHW programs, CHW Central aims to increase access to online information, improve the quality of CHW programs and services, and advocate for CHWs to be integrated into the global health workforce. CHW Central was established in 2011 to address the challenges faced by Initiatives Inc. Since then, CHW Central has been working tirelessly to provide a platform for knowledge sharing and networking among CHWs worldwide.
