## Description

The Community Health Worker Network of NYC is a brand that focuses on healthcare training, education, advocacy, and research, all while preserving the identity and character of health workers. As the only independent professional association of community health workers in New York City, our network represents over 1,000 members from over 250 organizations. We are committed to advancing the community health worker practice through education, advocacy, and research. Our evidence-based community health worker training program, developed in collaboration with the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health, addresses the needs of CHWs and contributes to the establishment of workforce standards for the CHW scope of practice, training, and credentialing. We advocate for the integration of CHWs into health and social service systems, stable financing mechanisms for CHW services, and the recognition of CHWs as agents of change. Join the CHW Network of NYC today and be a part of the movement to improve healthcare outcomes and promote social justice.
