## Description

Somos Todos Uruguayos is a dedicated organization that advocates for the rights of legal citizens in Uruguay, particularly focusing on issues surrounding nationality and statelessness. With a firm mission to address urgent matters of citizenship and national identity, the group highlights inconsistencies between Uruguayan law and international norms regarding naturalization and statelessness. They actively participated in a key hearing at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (CIDH) on March 1, 2024, to address these critical topics.

The organization provides a wealth of resources, including reports, transcripts, and discussions related to the status of nationality rights in Uruguay. Their commitment to human rights is evident through their engagements with both state and non-state actors to foster dialogue aimed at resolving legal inconsistencies. Through expert participation and testimonies from experienced members, Somos Todos Uruguayos works to ensure that all citizens can claim their nationality without discrimination, aiming to eliminate barriers that hinder their access to identity documents.
