## Description

Cielos Despejados is an amateur astronomy association based in Oviedo, Asturias, bringing together people who share an interest in the night sky. Members usually meet at the Hotel de Asociaciones Santullano on the second and third Fridays of each month at 7 p.m.; newcomers are welcome to get in touch through social media or the association’s contact form to learn more and confirm meeting dates.

The association offers opportunities to explore astronomy through public observing events, workshops and gatherings. Its annual Noche Lunática, held in the gardens of the Faculty of Sciences in Oviedo, invites people to observe the Moon and is connected with International Observe the Moon Night. Cielos Despejados also takes part in science events and collaborates on activities such as a cinema series combining film and astronomy.

The website features members’ astrophotography, from nebulae to distant galaxies, alongside a blog about astronomy, telescopes, celestial events and observing the night sky. Through these activities and resources, the association encourages learning, participation and shared enthusiasm for astronomy.
