## Description

CIG, the Italian Gas Committee (Comitato Italiano Gas), is a nonprofit private-law association with legal personality and headquarters in Milan. It serves as a national reference point for standards and professional training in the combustible gas sector. The organization supports the development and consultation of technical standards, publishing information on standards and public inquiries relevant to gas systems and infrastructure. Its training offer covers safety and quality, with courses on topics including methane emissions in gas distribution, heating installations, and the preparation of conformity declarations and required documentation for gas-fuelled systems. CIG also provides information to help people understand their rights and offers channels for reporting gas-related incidents, emergencies, and emissions into the atmosphere. Through its news, events, publications, and CIG Magazine, the association shares updates and perspectives from the gas sector. It also organizes professional events, including the UNI CIG Forum, and offers a newsletter for updates on its activities, courses, and events. Together, these services connect technical guidance, education, and industry information for the gas community.
