Cigarra is a foundation for children in Bogotá, Colombia, dedicated to providing high-quality comprehensive care to 180 children between the ages of 1 and 18. Our mission is to support the vulnerable population of Puertas del Paraíso in Ciudad Bolívar, Bogotá, by offering a safe space where children can learn, play, and grow. In addition to educational support, we provide nutritional and psychological assistance to ensure their overall well-being.

At Cigarra, we offer a variety of programs and services to enhance the children's development. Our offerings include educational support, a library called Cigarra Creadora de sueños (Cigarra Dream Maker), a community center, dance classes, activities for senior citizens, English courses, music lessons, early childhood care, psychological support, recreational activities, a clothing pantry, workshops for parents, theater workshops, and technology courses such as robotics and typing. We aim to foster their talents, improve their English language skills, and introduce them to the world of technology.

Through our projects, we strive to provide balanced nutrition, ensure food security, establish a symphony orchestra, create a robotics club called Curi0s1ty, and construct a covered sports court that can also be used as a theater.
