## Description

The Centro Internacional de Matemática (CIM) is a privately run, not-for-profit association dedicated to developing and promoting mathematical research. Its community includes 21 associates: Portuguese universities, research centres in the mathematical sciences, an institute, and national scientific societies. CIM supports collaboration and engagement across the mathematical community through research initiatives, events, public lectures, and awards.

Its programmes include the Daniel Augusto da Silva Network, which brings carefully selected groups of researchers together for intensive, small-scale collaborations on ambitious mathematical problems. CIM also sponsors scientific events and organizes Pedro Nunes Lectures, featuring invited speakers and researchers. The CIM Medal recognizes contributions to mathematics.

CIM supports two publications that welcome contributions from the community: the Series in Mathematical Sciences, published by Springer, and the CIM Bulletin. Its website also provides access to news, preprints, monographs and proceedings, lecture information, and details about associates and scientific activities. CIM is a member of ERCOM, the European Research Centres on Mathematics, and IMSI, the International Mathematical Sciences Institutes.
