## Description

The Digital Heritage Directorate of Romania’s National Institute of Heritage develops and applies information and communication technologies to support the country’s cultural heritage. Its website serves as a gateway to digital resources documenting Romania’s heritage, bringing together collections and information across archaeology, movable heritage, performing arts, ethnography, history, built heritage, written heritage, and photography. Visitors can explore databases, a digital library, geospatial resources, 3D documentation, and materials connected with Europeana. The portal also provides legislation, documentation, heritage-recording principles, and information about projects and recent news. Public engagement is part of its work: the Directorate shares cultural content, publishes articles, and organizes online conferences, including the “Archaeology for Everyone” series, dedicated to archaeological heritage. The site features updates on events, research, and digital collections, as well as details about the team and contact information. Through these services, the Directorate makes cultural heritage resources more accessible and supports their digital documentation and development.
