Cindi is a collaborative network of civil society organizations that has been dedicated to creating effective and sustainable programs for vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth since its establishment in July 1996. With a focus on women and caregivers, Cindi aims to support beneficiaries impacted by HIV and AIDS in the KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) province. They advocate for better policies and resources at both the national and international level. For the past 23 years, Cindi has successfully implemented child and youth rights programs through its extensive network of community-based organizations (CBOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in KZN. They have implemented innovative and culturally appropriate methodologies, particularly in the uMgungundlovu and eThekwini districts, benefiting orphans, vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth (OVCA&Y). Cindi is a prime partner of USAID and has collaborated with various organizations, including the KZN Provincial Treasury Global Fund Supported Programme, Family for Every Child, and the European Union. Through partnerships and innovative programs, Cindi strives to improve the lives of vulnerable children in KZN and beyond. Their ultimate vision is to have a well-resourced network capable of implementing diverse and sustainable programs for vulnerable children, with a special focus on HIV and AIDS. Cindi's mission is to enhance the services and response to children in distress through research, capacity building, training, advocacy, resource sharing, and collaboration with donors, government, and stakeholders. Donations to Cindi are tax-exempt as they are registered under Section 18A, making them an impactful choice for those looking to make a difference.
