Cinewax is an association dedicated to promoting African stories and diasporas through the medium of cinema. They offer a range of actions, events, screenings, a media platform, and their Cinewax Education program. Cinewax showcases African movies and films, as well as African and Afro series, in all their splendor.

Despite over 2,000 films and series being produced in Africa each year, less than 1% of movies in cinemas are made in Africa. Cinewax believes in the power of images to positively influence perspectives and believes it is their duty to reclaim and share authentic African narratives. Since its establishment in 2015, Cinewax has showcased over 250 films from Africa and its diasporas, aiming to showcase the diversity and richness of the continent.
