## Description

Chemistry in New Zealand (CiNZ) is the professional journal of the New Zealand Institute of Chemistry (NZIC), sharing chemistry-related research, perspectives and news with readers in New Zealand and beyond. Published quarterly in January, April, July and October, the journal is distributed to NZIC members, libraries and other subscribers. Members receive full access to its content.

CiNZ covers a broad range of topics through sections including Earth, Education, Energy, History, Life and Matter, alongside obituaries and the president’s column. Its articles explore scientific research, analytical methods, environmental challenges, energy technologies, education and the people contributing to chemistry. Recent subjects include wildfire hazard analysis, PFAS contamination, microplastics, food proteins, biogas upgrading and advances in chemical detection.

The journal also features conference reports, profiles, news about NZIC members and contributions from writers across the field. Readers can browse the archive, follow the latest articles and subscribe to the newsletter for a digest of important stories.
