## Description

TheSQuaD is a research group led by Professor Alexandre Blais at the University of Sherbrooke’s Institut quantique. Its work focuses on the theory of superconducting quantum circuits, particularly circuit quantum electrodynamics, with applications to quantum information processing and quantum optics. The group conducts theoretical research in advanced facilities and collaborates closely with experimental teams, as well as leading academic and industrial partners around the world.

Rather than offering commercial products, TheSQuaD contributes scientific knowledge and research expertise in quantum physics. Its website brings together the group’s publications, research information, news, and details for prospective members, including available positions and admission requirements. The group also provides a collaborative environment for students, postdoctoral fellows, and scientific researchers to develop their expertise and work with international research teams. Alumni describe opportunities to strengthen their skills in superconducting circuits, scientific communication, and collaboration, while building professional networks across academia and industry. Through its research, publications, partnerships, and training of emerging researchers, TheSQuaD supports progress in superconducting quantum technologies.
