## Description

Circumference Magazine is a literary publication focused on literature in translation and international culture. Founded in 2003, it is published twice a year and brings writing from around the world to English-language readers. Its issues feature poems, prose, short stories, essays, interviews, and book excerpts, highlighting both the writers and translators behind the work. The magazine spans many languages and regions, including writing translated from Chinese, French, German, Hungarian, Kurdish, Nepali, Polish, Sanskrit, Spanish, Swedish, and Tamil, among others.

Circumference also maintains an online archive of work from current and past issues, where readers can explore individual pieces and recurring features. Recent content includes translated poetry and fiction, conversations with poets and translators, and essays on literature and culture. Readers can browse the magazine’s language and regional indices, order issues through its shop, support the publication, or submit work for consideration. Through its print and online offerings, Circumference creates a space for international writing and translation, connecting readers with literary voices across borders.
