## Description

Cirkusmuseet, or the Circus Museum, is a museum in Hvidovre, Denmark, dedicated to the world of circus and performing artists. Its permanent exhibition explores what makes circus special through films, props, costumes and impressions from circus life, while changing exhibitions offer visitors further ways to discover the subject. Families can follow a circus-themed trail through the galleries, visit the playroom, dress up and try juggling.

The museum also offers hands-on activities and learning experiences for a range of ages and groups. Every Sunday, Cirkusleg invites families to try circus disciplines such as juggling, tightrope walking and trapeze with guidance from a professional circus artist. School-holiday programmes include creative activities and, during selected weeks, performances ranging from clowning to spectacular acrobatics. Other offerings include children’s birthday parties, circus workshops, guided tours, talks and programmes for schools, seniors and businesses. With exhibitions, activities and educational services, Cirkusmuseet gives visitors opportunities to explore circus culture, learn about its performers and take part in the fun.
