## Description

CISAME, the Intermunicipal Health Consortium of Médio Espinhaço, is a public intergovernmental association established to coordinate health initiatives among its member municipalities. Organized as an inter-federative public authority, it works to expand access to healthcare and bring specialized services closer to local communities. Its activities include arranging diagnostic and laboratory referrals, specialized consultations, and medium- and high-complexity medical procedures, including elective surgeries and specialist examinations. The consortium also supports the acquisition of medical supplies and coordinates health-related programs and services across participating municipalities.

CISAME’s work includes practical support for healthcare delivery, such as health transport initiatives, training for professionals using medical vehicles, and arrangements for services including ophthalmology, orthopedics, dentistry, and specialized examinations. It publishes notices and manages public processes for contracting providers, including accreditation opportunities for individuals and organizations. The consortium’s website provides information about its member municipalities, service prices, contracts, procurement, budgets, staffing, and other public records. CISAME is based in Conceição do Mato Dentro, Minas Gerais, and operates as a collaborative resource for public health services in the Médio Espinhaço region.
