The Environmental Services Utility (ESU) in Kankakee plays a vital role in maintaining the city’s infrastructure related to water management and public safety. This department is responsible for supervising the sewer system, storm water intakes, and hydroelectric facilities, ensuring that these essential services run smoothly.
