## Description

CivicSight is a charitable platform established in April 2020, born from the merger of Open Data Hong Kong and AccessInfoHK. It aims to enhance access to public data in Hong Kong and help individuals make sense of the information they receive. Registered as a charity in the United States and housed within the Leitner Center for International Law and Justice at Fordham Law School, CivicSight fosters a community focused on sharing data to drive innovation and enhance lives. By organizing meetups, hackathons, and conferences, CivicSight engages data professionals and the public, highlighting the importance of data utilization. Additionally, the platform collaborates with international Open Data networks to promote transparency and improve governance. Through original research, data access, and policy analysis, CivicSight equips researchers, advocates, and civil society members with the tools needed to shape the future of Asia.
