## Description

Clan Forrester Society, Inc. is an organization dedicated to the history and genealogy of Clan Forrester, an ancient Scottish Lowland clan whose name reflects its historic role as guardians of the royal forest around Edinburgh and Falkirk. The clan held significant lands in Lothian and Stirlingshire. Founded in 1963 as the Forrester Genealogical Association, Inc., the organization was reactivated under its current name in 1968.

Membership is open to descendants associated with Forrester and related surname spellings, including Corstorphine, Forrister, Forester, Forrest, Forest, Foster, and Forister. The Society brings together people interested in their family heritage and supports shared knowledge and community connections. Although it does not have a dedicated genealogist and cannot undertake detailed individual research, it may publish member queries in its Corstorphine Journal and help put researchers in touch with others who share their interests. The website also provides channels to explore the Society, join, contact the organization, and learn about its store and events.
