## Description

The Clan Macfie Society of Australia is a community organisation dedicated to preserving Scottish-Australian heritage and giving Clan Macfie a sense of leadership and purpose in the modern world. It welcomes people interested in the clan’s history, ancestry and ongoing story, including those seeking to explore their Scottish roots and the ancient origins of Clan Macfie.

The Society supports members through participation in Highland Games, the publication of its triannual DOWNUNDER newsletter, and the study of Clan Macfie history and immigration movements. It also encourages genealogical research, helping members investigate family connections and the clan’s past. A dedicated online forum provides a way for Macfies around Australia to connect and socialise, while the Society’s website shares resources, news, events, links, newsletters, articles and videos.

People can learn about the clan, follow Society announcements and get involved by becoming members. The organisation is also seeking a Clan Commander, or Ceann-Cath, as part of its continuing work to support and strengthen the Clan Macfie community.
