## Description

Clan McAlister of America (CMA) is a dedicated non-profit organization established in 1990 to preserve and promote the genealogy and history of the McAlister name. With a mission to connect McAlister families, the CMA has identified over 350 distinct family lines, encompassing more than 100,000 individuals, and continuously works to trace common ancestors and descendants through robust genealogical research.

CMA offers valuable resources including a free-access Wiki Repository filled with extensive historical documents, census records, and ancestral family line information, reflecting over 30 years of research. Their quarterly Journal + Newsletter features insights on family histories and Scottish culture. Moreover, CMA coordinates the FamilyTreeDNA “McAlister DNA Project,” integrating modern genetic genealogy techniques.

Members are encouraged to participate in regular gatherings to discuss genealogy and foster connections, with an upcoming event in San Antonio, Texas, in October 2024. Open to anyone interested in McAlister heritage, CMA is committed to fostering a respectful and collaborative community.
