## Description

Claresholm is a vibrant rural community actively engaging in the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), initiated on April 29, 2025. This employer-driven program aims to address significant labor shortages by connecting skilled workers with local job opportunities, ensuring they have a sincere commitment to residing in Claresholm long-term. With 30 allocations available for 2025, the program focuses on designating local employers in priority sectors like healthcare, manufacturing, law, education, agriculture, and sales and services.

Employers within these specified industries can recruit foreign workers or support existing employees seeking a pathway to permanent residency through an LMIA-exempt work permit. The initiative not only enhances the local workforce but also fosters community growth. Moreover, Claresholm collaborates with nearby towns, including Granum and Stavely, creating a broader labor market. As the RCIP develops, it will adapt to the community's unique needs, ensuring a sustainable and bi-directional relationship between employers and skilled workers. For more information or to apply, eligible employers can reach out via email.
