## Description

The Clarissa Street Legacy is dedicated to celebrating the rich historical and cultural heritage of one of Rochester’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Established in 1996, the annual Clarissa Street Reunion honors a community once bustling with life, known for its significant contributions to jazz music during the 1940s to 1960s. This celebration involves diverse cultures, including Black, Italian, Irish, and Jewish communities, which coexisted harmoniously in the old 3rd Ward. The reunion is not just a nostalgic gathering; it serves as an educational platform to inform attendees about the neighborhood's rich past, including its cobblestone streets and the iconic trolley cars that once traveled through. The event offers a variety of activities, vendor opportunities, and avenues for sponsorship, along with options for volunteering. Through these initiatives, the Clarissa Street Legacy aims to perpetuate the memories, relationships, and cultural diversity that define this storied location in Rochester, New York.
