## Description

Clashing Steel Fencing is a Northeast Ohio club dedicated to promoting the sport of fencing and helping members develop personal growth, leadership, and lasting friendships. Established in 2009 as Wadsworth Fencing Club, it is a member of the Northern Ohio Division of Fencing and serves communities including Wadsworth, Rittman, Wooster, Medina, Norton, Barberton, and Akron. The club welcomes participants ages eight and up, with no prior experience required, and aims to provide a safe, accessible environment where fencers can pursue their goals.

Classes and practices are held at the Rittman Recreation Center in Rittman, Ohio. Basic fencing instruction is included in monthly dues and covers en garde position, footwork, attacking, parrying, and the rules of the sport. Sessions combine stretching, conditioning, group drills, and lessons. Members who meet the club’s participation criteria can also take part in scheduled open fencing, featuring electric foil and six scoring sets. Clashing Steel Fencing provides equipment for certain youth tournaments and offers opportunities for members to participate in club events.
