The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) is a global organization working with partners to make clean cooking accessible to the 2.3 billion people who lack it. It mobilizes investment, innovation, and political commitment to accelerate the adoption of cleaner cooking solutions and address the health, climate, and development impacts of polluting fuels. CCA supports governments in shaping policies that help clean cooking markets thrive, and provides specialized assistance to clean cooking enterprises around the world. Its work also includes industry development, carbon market integrity, institutional clean cooking standards and testing, and strategies that strengthen women’s empowerment and youth engagement. Recognizing women’s central role in adoption, the Alliance has helped train more than 5,000 women entrepreneurs, young people, and educators. It also funds research into household air pollution and clean cooking benefits, with more than 60 peer-reviewed publications produced through its support. CCA offers sector resources, including reports, research tools, a country-focused NDC Tracker, and the People Insights Portal, alongside events, funding opportunities, and sector news.
